Earth Day tree ivy removal with Youth Charity League

We had a great Earth Day volunteer event with Youth Charity League!

On Saturday, April 24th, after a sunny week, the morning dawned, well… not. It was rainy! We still had a great turnout from Youth Charity League (YCL), who align family-friendly volunteer opportunities with local non-profits. We’ve been glad to work with them for several years running.

We had 30 volunteers join us at Tryon Creek State Natural Area, where we removed tree ivy from 115 trees and did 9 full tree lifesavers. Enjoy some photos!
