Earth Day at Boones Ferry Bridge: Watershed 101 & Planting!
9am-12pm, Saturday April 22, 2023
Join Tryon Creek Watershed Council, Friends of Tryon Creek, and the Bureau of Environmental Services to celebrate Earth Day!
This is a combination of our Watershed 101 Workshops and a volunteer event. First, TCWC and BES staff will share about the Tryon Creek watershed, its fish populations, and the recent Boones Ferry Bridge project. Then, we’ll get hands-on to plant native plants along the project area!
We will meet at 9am at the intersection of SW Arnold St & SW Boones Ferry Rd; parking is available on nearby SW Comus St.
Volunteer notes:
– Dress in layers for the weather (hats, close-toed shoes you can get muddy, etc.) and bring your own, full water bottle and snacks.
– Gloves and tools will be provided as needed; please consider bringing your own if you are able.
– Masks are welcomed, and please stay home if you have been exposed, are experiencing symptoms, and/or test positive for COVID-19 (& other illnesses).
Thank you!! We are excited to spend some time with volunteers at the Boones Ferry Bridge project area!
