To our Tryon Creek watershed community,

We are excited to share that we have formally endorsed the Nature for All campaign. This campaign seeks to renew our region-wide Metro bond that ensures birds, fish, friends, and neighbors alike have access to clean air, clean water, and beautiful parks from the Sandy River to Beaver Creek.

After a year long community engagement and comprehensive stakeholder process which we participated in, Metro referred one of the most collaborative and equitably-driven measures ever put before Oregon Voters and Tryon Creek Watershed Council is thrilled to be a partner on the ground floor. We stand with a growing coalition of conservation groups, social justice and community organizations, elected leaders, and individuals representing working families, health professionals, business owners, and faith groups to support this important work.

On November 5th, voters in Washington, Clackamas, and Multnomah counties will have the opportunity to vote in favor of Nature for All. This measure will be the only large item on the November 2019 ballot, and we ask our partners and supporters to please vote!

Without raising taxes, this measure will:

  • Preserve our region’s water quality – from the Willamette, Clackamas, and Tualatin rivers, to important headwaters and streams such as Tryon Creek, and local wetlands;
  • Protect forests, open spaces, and areas at risk from development that are important for wildlife habitat, recreation, and needed to safeguard our air and water;
  • Ensure that all kids -regardless of zip code or income- have healthy and great places to play by improving access and facilities at regional parks and in communities across the Metro region to better serve our growing, diverse populations.

Please remember to vote, and remind your friends and family to submit their ballots by November 5th 2019!
