Get Engaged

Volunteer!

Volunteers are always appreciated at Tryon Creek Watershed Council. We couldn’t do our work without folks who volunteer their time to join us at restoration events, lend their professional skills, and contribute to our work in varied ways.

What are some ways you could volunteer with Tryon Creek Watershed Council?

As an individual…

  • Serve on the board
Monthly meetings are open to the public and held at the Tryon Creek State Natural Area on second Mondays from 6-8pm. Get to know the team. Everyone is welcome at these public meetings.

  • Share your skills
It takes all kinds of skilled individuals working as a team to achieve the council’s mission; graphic design, legal council, social media management, technology, financial reporting and bookeeping, nonprofit management, event planning, fundraising, environmental engineering, water scientist, videographer and photographer. To get started sharing your skills, contact alexis@tryoncreek.org.

As a group…

Come on out to a habitat restoration event! We love having groups join us at volunteer work parties – especially at our annual Watershed Wide Event. Email us with questions, alexis@tryoncreek.org.

As a business…

  • Sponsor an event
  • In-kind donations
