Watershed 101 Workshop with PCC Sylvania
Alexis and Seth (Westside Watershed Resource Center) teamed up again this spring to deliver a two-part Watershed 101 workshop to Prof. April Ann Fong’s students at PCC Sylvania, and spent the weekly lab session outside weeding and planting along a campus pathway!
It was exciting to put 150 native plants in the ground in a short little while, as well as remove 400 sq ft of invasive weeds like herb Robert, European clematis. We ended right before the rain started trickling in! It’s great to have an ongoing relationship with PCC Sylvania faculty, and students on Prof. Fong’s Habitat Team are consistently engaged in neat community science efforts and stewardship around campus!
